This state-of-the-art pool enables both assistive and resistive therapies. It’s important that we are aggressive with all of our rehabilitation, especially our stroke recovery rehab, and this pool allows patients to start right away. The special therapy pool capitalizes on the body’s buoyancy in varying water depths. This enables the exercises to become easier or progressively more difficult. There also is a computerized current to build strength and balance control and allows for more variability in the therapy session.

Aquatic Therapy/Rehab Pool Workstations

Therapy pool workout/rehab stations include 45 degree plyometric pads, open and closed kinetic exercise benches and steps, and a 40 degree angled running platform.

Please Note: At AristaCare at Cedar Oaks, all patients approved to use the aquatic therapy pool as part of their rehabilitation regime are accompanied by at least one physical therapist especially trained in Aquatic Therapy.
