For long
term care patients choosing to make AristaCare their
home, we offer therapeutic recreation and social
activities to provide continuous mental and physical
stimulation at all times. Our goal is to maximize our
residents quality of life while preserving their dignity
and privacy. |
Beginning the beginning of June 2011, we have launched a new
Resident/Staff Friendship Program at our AristaCare locations. The
program details are being handled by our Therapeutic Recreation
Directors.
How the
Program Works
Each staff member is given the opportunity to “adopt” a resident of
their choice (one staff member per long term resident). Once a
resident is adopted, the staff member (in addition to regular
duties) takes the extra time to go above and beyond for their
adopted resident which may include spending time with them, doing
something special for them, reading to them, celebrating their
birthdays or any holidays they may observe, etc...
Only long-term residents can be adopted.
All participating staff receive "AristaCare CarePairs”
t-shirts that they wear on Fridays.
